Interesting Souvenir

That I receive from my dear sister from Taiwan. It's an ocarina. I love it. My sister also thoughtfully provided a music book for me to practise (background).

It's sounds like the recorder that I had during my primary school. I played London Bridge as my first performance in front of my uncle. After playing..

Me: So how's it? Good?

Uncle: ...... erm maybe it will sound better if you don't play kindergarten tunes.

My Ocarina has 8 holes, 6 on top and 2 at the bottom. Some other types have an extra hole at the bottom. You blow through the snout and use your fingers to cover/open the holes to make music notes.

My sister was impressed with the demonstration by the shop and got me one. According to her, they played Meteor Garden theme song with the Ocarina and it sounds wonderful.

I think I will not play this in front of her.
